CAROL JENDRAS, a pianist, composer, and professional accompanist, was surrounded by music as a toddler, and was immediately taken hostage. She began piano lessons at age 6, and is classically trained in piano, voice, and musical theater, earning a B.S. degree magna cum laude from NYU. She has directed the Putnam Chorale Summer Ensemble and church choirs, and teaches piano and voice, primarily in Putnam and Fairfield counties. In addition to her work with Old Exit 19, she is a soprano in the Putnam Chorale, and performs with Aurelia in the chamber duo Salon 1900.
BOB CINQUE began his musical career with rudimentary training in music theory and an electric guitar, which he used in various bands, including the Albany-based jazz-rock combo Dreamwork, and to create the rock musical Pheenom (writing the music, lyrics, and book), which ran off-off-Broadway in the late 1980s. He then embarked on a legal and political journey that led to Old Exit 19. Prior to joining Old Exit 19, he has performed in many Hudson Valley venues over the years, both as a solo artist and with groups such as Fast, Cheap and Loud and Jammers and Company.
AURELIA LANDON started playing the violin at age 5, and is currently concertmaster of the Putnam Symphony Orchestra. In addition to her classical training on violin, she is also a classically-trained soprano and a skilled violin and bow maker, and plays one of her violins in performance. In addition to her classical experience, which includes performing with Putnam Strings, she has performed in an a cappella ensemble singing Beatles songs, a Pink Floyd cover band, and a Gala band, as well as the chamber duo Salon 1900 (with Carol). She brings all of these influences to her work with Old Exit 19.
JOE SPALLINA is president of the Westchester Oratorio Society. He sings bass in that group, as well as with the Putnam Chorale, Quaker Hill Choir, and the Kent Singers.
PHIL LEVINE and Bob go back a long way, having worked together on several of Bob’s studio projects and in the pit band in a production of Company at Lehman College. Phil also plays with The Clams, LTM Music, and various musical projects in the Westchester area.
